Triptease Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Triptease, we work hard to curate unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. However, we understand that plans can change. This policy outlines how refunds and cancellations are handled for group trips, private bookings, and custom itineraries.
1. Advance Payment & Booking Confirmation
- A non-refundable advance payment is required to reserve your spot on any trip.
- The balance amount must be paid by the specified due date (mentioned in your trip details or invoice).
- Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of the advance.
2. Cancellation by Traveller
We understand things come up! Here’s how cancellation refunds work:
Group Trips (Fixed Departures)
- 30+ days before departure: 70% of total trip cost refundable
- 15–29 days before departure: 40% of total trip cost refundable
- 14 days or less: No refund possible
Private, Bachelor/Bachelorette & Custom Trips
- Refunds are subject to vendor terms (villa/hotel/transport bookings etc.).
- We will do our best to recover what we can, but a minimum 30% service fee will be retained.
3. Cancellation by Triptease
If a trip is cancelled by us due to unforeseen reasons (e.g. political unrest, minimum participant count not met, force majeure):
- You’ll receive 100% credit towards any future Triptease trip.
- Or you can request a full refund, processed within 15 working days.
4. Refund Timelines
- Approved refunds will be processed within 15 business days.
- Refunds will be made to the original payment method.
5. No-Shows & Partial Participation
- No refund will be issued if you miss the trip, are denied boarding, or choose to leave midway for personal reasons.
6. Non-Transferable Bookings
- All bookings are non-transferable and cannot be assigned to another individual once confirmed.
7. Trip Amendments
- For custom trips, changes post-confirmation may incur modification charges depending on supplier policies.
8. Non-Refundable Costs
Please note that the following are always non-refundable:
- Visa fees, travel insurance, taxes paid to third parties
- Flights booked independently or by you
- Credit card or UPI processing fees
9. Code of Conduct & Dismissal from Trip
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all travelers:
- Any traveler found engaging in illegal activities, harassing behavior, or being disruptive to the group experience may be immediately removed from the trip at the discretion of the Triptease team or trip leader.
- In such cases, no refund will be provided, and any additional costs incurred will be the responsibility of the traveler.
